Compared to the EISA-awarded predecessor HD660 S, Sennheiser has, among other things, equipped the S2 version with a softer suspension on the elements and an even lighter voice coil. It has made it possible to tune the overall reproduction for an audibly fuller bass and at the same time an even better resolution of the finest details in the treble.
